I finished the last Harry Potter book yesterday. Started it Monday afternoon, stayed up until about 12:30 am reading it, and decided that I needed to get to bed so I wouldn't be half-dead Tuesday. Then the baby took a morning *and* an afternoon nap, and I finished it around 6:00 pm Tuesday. I read fast, people--it's how I survived my major.

spoiler-y stuff, so don't read unless you've read the entire book! )

In other news, I now have two weeks' worth of comics to read, and ... it's comic book day. So if I don't get moving on that, like, now, it will be *three* weeks' worth in a few hours. I also have a stack of unread shame that numbers 11 books. Fewer than Scott's, but still there. Some of these are books I bought before I was pregnant, and just kept putting off reading. And what did I find at the book store today? A bunch of books I want to read! But they're all in hardback, and none of them are really books I want to plunk $24.95 down for right now. So I wrote down the titles and authors, and once I pay my crazy library fine (my last set of books were due three days after the baby was born, and I don't think I returned them until he was about 6 weeks old), I'll be tracking them down there.

Yeesh.

Really, that sums up my day.

Good points: lunch with Scott. Realized early that I needed to get Out of the house, so cabin fever did not set in. The Zweeble might--just might--be getting that 2pm is Nap Time.

Bad points: weekend plans I was really looking forward to fell through. My hair is annoying. The Zweeble seems to have forgotten that 10pm is Not Bedtime, it is, in fact, Asleep Time. House is a mess, due to my getting Out.

So, yeah, yeesh.
