the Zweeble's haul, plus Eric's Day Job
Apr. 16th, 2008 10:02 amMuch like the annual Festival of Tiffany, we are in the midst of Zweeblefest 2008. (we so totally need a logo for that--pins and t-shirts and baseball caps)
This is due to the fact that the First Birthday isn't until Friday, but we went with Grandma to buy presents yesterday. And like Grandma wasn't going to just let him have the stuff, right?
Thus far, the Zweeb has scored:
--more Roll-A-Rounds and a caterpillar thing that he can pull, and with Roll-A-Rounds in it, which makes the Roll-A-Rounds spin and bounce.
--a bath book that squeaks
--three Bass Pro Shops hats. A floppy camo one for North Carolina, an orange baseball cap that reads "My First Fishing Cap," and a regular Bass Pro baseball cap. Also a little bodysuit with the Bass Pro logo on it. These are really more for Grandpa than the Zweeble, but whatever.
--a Radio Flyer Retro Rocket. This goes into the baby garage (read: the back of our couch, which looks like a miniature, plastic, bizarre used car lot) along with his elephant rocking horse, his walker pushing thing, and his Radio Flyer Hot Rod.
Spoiled? My child? Nah.
We also got his first year pictures yesterday. Eric the photographer (who might as well have been wearing a sign that read "this is my day job") was really good, and we wound up with so many great pictures that I spent waaay too much money and now have waaay more photos than I need. People are going to end up with 5x7s whether they want them or not. :) This was where he got his first taste of the fun that is to be had by pushing yourself along on a toy on wheels--they put him on a little Radio Flyer car for the photos, and he was not pleased to be taken off of it. Hence, the rocket.
No more studio shots until next year, when I will try and remember how the packages are set up, so I don't end up with seven 8x10s. :) Though I do have seven people who would like 8x10s, so it will work out.
Oh, and in non-kid news, my crud is *something.* I had a low-grade fever for a while, interesting snot, headache ... so I'm taking an antibiotic and am now feeling better. Thank god. Really, I'm just thrilled I can breathe through my nose again.
