Apr. 20th, 2009 04:34 pmLet's see ... having caught and gotten over the Zweeble-crud a week ago, I have now been stricken with the original Scott-crud. This time, I was smart and went to the doctor, and am now awaiting my Z-pack.
I can breathe through my nose and am not puking, so I'm not complaining.
Our Easter was fun--the boy woke up at 6, and then toddled around the grandparents' house with his little Mickey Mouse basket, finding eggs. No real reaction to the Easter Bunny having returned them, sadly. I was hoping for him to shake his little fists in the air in triumph, but he was more enchanted with the idea that the Easter Bunny brought him a chocolate bunny--which he'd asked for--and a chocolate piggie!
My mom had gotten him an ice cream cake the day before, so we'd had a small birthday song sort of thing already that weekend. Then, after Zweeb ate breakfast, he got to have some chocolate bunny. He ate some of the ears and part of the feet (it was like he had a chocolate Renaissance Faire drumstick to gnaw on). Then he demolished half a chocolate piglet. And had a cookie. The child was wired. I was very happy we'd decided no candy in the eggs and gone with cars and Sesame Street figures and change, instead.
I also chopped off most of my hair again, because the bob was driving me nuts. I'm not entirely sure how much better this shaggy short thing is, but Scott likes it and I think I can make it spiky. Once I'm back in the land of the living.
We got our tax return back, so I have to divide that money up and figure out what we're doing. I'm waiting for word back from the in-laws about their vacation time, so I can buy plane tickets. Depending on when they can take the time, we'll either know soon when we'll be in Ohio, or have to wait another month or until my schedule comes out before we can firm it up.
All right. Back to the few chores I can do while sitting on the couch.
