Doctor Who geekery, David Tennant fangirling

I have just bought The Next Doctor which is the 2008 Doctor Who Christmas special. And I discovered the following things, courtesy of Amazon:

1. A bunch of DVDs with David Tennant in them that I may or may not Netflix

2. A BBC radio production of Much Ado About Nothing with David Tennant ... oooh.

3. A Doctor Who and Martha cartoon that I will Netflix, if possible.

4. Okay, that weird vegas-y Hugh Jackman musical TV series? Is that a remake of Blackpool, the BBC musical TV series? Because the BBC version sounds ... interesting?

5. There are such things as toy sonic screwdrivers, at least one of which is a pen. I want one that's a laser pointer. Well, if I can't have an actual sonic screwdriver.

6. Something called "Doctor Who In Your Pocket." Which cannot be nearly as much fun as one might imagine, but how cheese-tastic is that?!

Dear 2009,

I cannot WAIT until you are over.

I've never in my life had a year that just sucked overall, but here you are. We're on the fourth Zweeble-cold, the third death in the family, I have yet to surface from all the bloody work prep that started back in March ... Jesus on crutches.

Look, if you're going to have a tantrum, go over there and have it by spring of 1989 and winter of 2004-2005. Because I don't want to hear it.

At least my checkbook is finally balanced. I have that. Well, really, there are good things that have happened this year, it's just that on the whole it's been stressful and sucktastic and I'll be glad when it's over.
