Apr. 11th, 2011 10:16 pmDay 27 - A problem that you have had
Like, ever?
Well, when I was five, I could not figure out how to tie my shoes. And my kindergarten teacher plopped an actual shoe down in front of each kid, and we were supposed to tie it. I was freaking out--I am an only child, what can I say? Failure is Not Cool--but I knew how to tie knots, so I tied a really loose knot and tucked the ends of the shoelaces in when the teacher wasn't looking.
Eventually, my grandfather taught me to tie my shoes.
Seriously, though, 99% of my problems are first world problems--the heartbreak of acne; will I ever find a boyfriend; more recently, will I ever get my husband to put his dirty clothes in the hamper?!--and the other 1% are not things I want to get into on the internet.
(You know, it occurs to me that tying those laces into a knot was, technically, tying the shoe.)
Day 28 - Something that you miss
My youthful enthusiasm? The pizza I made last week and ate all of? Fastballs?
I do miss having all my friends nearby. I miss having a group. Right now, as work is crazy (and so is life), I miss my weekends. I miss Buffy and Doctor Who, though the latter will be back next week.
