Aug. 23rd, 2011 11:02 amI finished the draft of "The Drowned Man" yesterday (I don't think the Leucosia was actually wrecked enough to warrant the other title), and it's ... well, it's a draft. There are some huge chunks that need to be jury-rigged, but I have ideas on how to do it. It's also longer than "Clockwork" by about 1,000-1,500 words.
Today I wanted to work, but at the same time, I was feeling that post-draft braindeadness, so I did some revising on "Clockwork," but nothing too strenuous. If it was something I knew needed fixing, but I didn't have an immediate fix/rewrite, I just made a note for later. Tomorrow I'll get more into that, and then Thursday or Friday I'll start jury-rigging "The Drowned Man."
Well, that's my plan, anyway, and my plans rarely end up being followed. :)
I don't know how much I'll be able to write over this semester, but right now it looks like VPK and naptime will give me quite a bit of time to work both the day job and the real one. (crossing fingers)
