i never watched dr who on sci-fi 'cause they were a year behind bbc. i don't think bbc shows it any more though. i'll have to check it out. is this season three? (well new season three anyway).
Is it just because of spoilers and whatnot that it being behind the BBC bothered you? It is season three of the new series--second season of David Tennant, but third since the relaunch.
With BSG, I think it's good to know it's the last season, just so they can wrap it up well and not just peter out or meander like crazy (hello, "Lost"!). Though for real fans of the show, having only--what, four?--seasons does kind of suck.
I keep hearing Transformers is worth it for the giant robot fights. And that the plot is kind of not there ... but it's a bit like Face/Off, I'd think--once you hoist your disbelief high enough to get past the (very absurd) basic premise of the movie, why let anything else bother you? :)
