Thoughts on the new Doctor Who

Well, it doesn't feel like my show anymore, but I think this is a show I will really, really like. I may even love it. But the past 5 seasons are pretty much up there on my list with Twin Peaks and Buffy in terms of slavish devotion, and that's a lot to live up to.
But, you know, Doctor Who has been around since, what, 1963--welcome to the club, Laura.
So the first episode with the new guy was really good, and I like the new companion quite a bit, and we all know I love Steven Moffat. So, cool. I'm good. Well, still a bit in mourning. Well, a lot in mourning. But this was a good episode. There was a bit that scared the hell out of me, so well done there.
And the thing, with the projection, and he walks through it? Cool.
But I swear to god, if they don't make Matt Smith stop slouching I will kill myself.
