So, hiya! What's new with you? Have you lost weight? Because you look like you lost weight. And I really love the new hair.

Oh, me? Nah, not much. Oh, well, I did have a baby, but really that's all that's been going on with me lately.

Yup, six weeks ago Wednesday I gave birth to a bouncing baby boyo, known affectionately as "the Zweeble." (No, that's not what we named him for real. I'm not quite that Frank Zappa.) He's very cute--dunno how that happened, but I'll take it.

I felt very introspective during the pregnancy, and the hormones were just as nutty as everyone says they are (my OB actually told me, "If you used to have PMS mood swings, they're going to be no big deal now that you've had pregnancy mood swings!"), and so ... yeah. And now that I have Himself to care for, and my life is divided into two-hour increments (three when I'm lucky), I can't really say how often I'll post or how long my entries will be. But [livejournal.com profile] doggiesushi and [livejournal.com profile] gnadige missed me, and I keep finding things I want to post about** ... so here I am.

So, yes. Let me also say congrats to [livejournal.com profile] frankiemouse on his engagement, which I meant to do earlier and completely spaced on. Really, with the sleep deprivation and the new-mother brain, I'll be lucky to remember I have a LiveJournal.

**I promise not to post about breast-feeding, except in passing.

You're not allowed to post about breast-feeding anyways, since everyone know I know on LJ who's posted to the new mom communities always gets beat up by the breast-feeding nazis. I had no idea what a religious issue it is.

That's why I'm not going to join any of those communities. I'm of the "whatever works" school of parenting, and I don't know how well that would fly. :)

The breast feeding vs. formula wars just aggravate the snot out of me. Parenting is hard enough without guilt over how you feed your child.
