seldneiI really loved this season of Doctor Who.
I did like Rose quite a lot, but I *love* Martha. I love her because she's smart, and I love her because she's loyal, and I most of all love her for walking across the world, telling a story to save it. Because I totally believe she'd do it, and come back. Oh, and did I mention I love her for being the kind of character who would laugh in the Master's face?
I hated the last bit, where she explains why she's staying on Earth. But I loved it, too, because--well, it's the right thing for her to do. Look, I love the Doctor as much as I love Martha, and yeah, he's still getting over losing Rose, so I see what's up there ... but Martha deserves better than to come in second. And she sees it. Go, Martha.
(I've heard she's back here and there next season, so yay.)
Um ... super-old Doctor looks like Dobby the House-Elf? As was pointed out to me earlier today, it was good CGI, but the resemblance ... well, goodness, Martha's mom, steal a sock for the poor guy!
And ....
HOLY CATS, CAPTAIN JACK IS THE FACE OF BOE!!!!!!!!!???????!!!!!!!!!
EEEKKK!!!
Though I find it funny that ancient Doctor gets smaller, while ancient Jack's head gets huge.
And Martha deserved a Captain Jack smooch as much as Rose did at the end of season 1, come on!
And now I want the season 2 and season 3 DVDs. And the Jekyll DVDs. Sigh. British TV is going to kill me.
