seldneiWe watched The Departed last night. I liked it, Scott felt it was too long.
I love Matt Damon. I think he's my favorite modern actor. Between the Sarah Silverman thing, the Bourne movies, and the fact that he has no problems playing these squirrely, unlikeable guys ... yeah. I dig him.
Leo ... actually, I thought Leonardo DiCaprio and Jack Nicholson both worked really hard to make the audience forget they were watching Leonardo DiCaprio and Jack Nicholson. Leo came closer than Jack. Though partway through I realized that I could totally buy that Frank Costello was a guy who *acted* a lot like Jack Nicholson, as opposed to *being* Jack Nicholson.
Leonardo DiCaprio still looks disturbingly like my father when Dad was 17 or so.
Mark Wahlberg kicked ass. Which I never would have expected to say, ever.
On another note, we watched Lilo & Stitch Friday night for the first time since it came out, and I laughed like a loon. I love that movie. "My friends need to be punished."
I also love, "This is my family. I found it all on my own. It is little, and broken, but still good. Yes, still good." :)
