We're watching Superman/Doomsday on Cartoon Network, and I'm getting a huge kick out of Lex Luthor voiced by James Marsters. It's not quite Spike's accent, but every so often Lex gets ticked and Spike creeps in.
We took the Zweeble to the zoo today. It's a small zoo, so no elephants or giraffes. But gibbons and lemurs and various sorts of monkeys on little islands you tour by boat; enormous alligators; lions and leopards and an alleged tiger that we did not actually see; zebras and gazelles and kudu; birds and a tortoise; and
dealio's favorite--a big African porcupine.
The Zweeb tends to get very quiet and solemn in new situations, or in situations where he's learning things. So it's hard to tell if he's having a good time or not at first, until he's acclimated to everything. By the end of the day, he was grooving on the tortoise and the playgrounds they have there, but at first there was a lot of, "Are you having fun?" "Yep!"
On the way to the zoo, our little Houdini squirmed out of the arm straps of his car seat and started to try and turn around backwatds. He was still belted in at the legs, so he wasn't making much progress when I glanced back and discovered this.
"What are you doing?" I asked.
In a tone to suggest he was pointing out the obvious, the Zweeble replied, "Climbin'!"
I have no desire at all to join Facebook or MySpace, but I keep toying with the idea of Twitter. It's a bit like how I toyed with LiveJournal before I started it. And I've not got much time lately, so ... I dunno. We'll see.
