So last night Scott and I were discussing weird crossovers, and I said Doctor Who and the Falco books, and he said, "Pft. Doctor Who and Lost."
So four years of Lost would boil down to 2 episodes of Doctor Who. There'd be the TARDIS landing on the island, the Doctor and Jack emerging, the Doctor expouding on the beauty of the place as Jacks says, "Sure, all that's missing is ... a plane crash--" and the plane comes falling out of the sky behind the Doctor.
The TARDIS, affected by the weird EMF of the island, is unable to leave. But Jin can understand English right away!
Then there's a lot of running from the smoke monster, a polar bear, the Others; they discover the hatch and Desmond without the dynamite because the Doctor just opens the thing up, and when, within ten minutes, they convince everyone to stop entering the numbers** and the hatch implodes, the Doctor turns the key and avoids all that freaky premonition stuff because, hey, Time Lord. We meet Jacob--either a Time Lord or one of the Doctor's old ememies--then a lot of running to the Orchid, where the Doctor discovers the blibberblabber technology,*** and fixes the gear with the sonic screwdriver, which in turn fixes the TARDIS and the island.
And Kate's the new companion.
Hey, don't get me going on my Doctor Who/Imagination Movers crossover, where Warehouse Mouse steals the sonic screwdriver and Knit Knots has a nervous breakdown because the Doctor is way too exciting ...
**"Numbers bad? No, no! That's just superstition ... wait, hang on. These numbers are bad. Look at that, secrets of the universe, right there. And you played the lottery with them. I love humans."
***"How do you have blibberblabber technology here?" he asks Richard Alpert, who is revealed as an alien--"Should have guessed from the eyeliner," says Captain Jack, "those are the markings of the Blibberblabber science warrior caste."
