So everyone is under some sort of snow warning/advisory/"we're all gonna die in the snowpocalypse!"/"no, no, it's "snowmageddon!" thing?

Well, except for us. But let me tell you, it is not a balmy day down here, either. It is definitely warmer than expected, but it's windy and looks like it's going to pour shortly. This is, seriously, the wettest winter I can remember in quite some time.

In other weather-related news, original plans for Z's Thursday play date did not work out, so now I am wracking my brains to try and think of something for two almost-three-year-olds to do on a day that's supposed to be in the 50s and raining. Oh, and that's located midway between both houses.

I wonder if there's a Build-A-Bear somewhere around here, and how expensive it is ...

I guess I'm a cheap playdate. I'd lay out wax paper and put out the playdoh if it were me.

But then again, I don't know the exact situation there.

We live about an hour, hour and a half away from each other, so we usually try and find stuff to do at the halfway mark. But all the free/cheap things for kids are outside, so I think one of us is going to have to make a trek ... at which point the Play Doh will come out. If they come here, though, we have a whole table they can play on, no wax paper needed. :)

I kinda wish it really was snowmageddon here... we're only getting about 9" total, which is pretty lame in comparison to what D.C. got/is getting. I do have to say, though, that it's _gorgeous_ outside right now. IT's snowing like mad and not very breezy. Plus, it's about 25 degrees, so it's perfect snow weather... big, wet flakes and mild temperatures. My absolute favourite.

I'd rather have the snow than the rain right now--my yard is getting ridiculous. It's February, it's supposed to be brown and half an inch tall!
