a grounded Zweeble

The Z. has been grounded from Spongebob for two days because he didn't do his school work.
(Scott and I think he might be a little bored with it. But we both agree, sometimes you have to do things you think are boring, and it's not like he's mastered drawing circles yet, so here we go with the "do your work!" fight. Which I intend to win.)
Amazingly, he has not complained about it. (Complained about other things? Yes. Not this.) In fact, I thought maybe the Spongebob Love had faded, the punishment didn't bother him, and I'd have to figure out some new thing to take away from him in order to make my point.
Today, on our way in to the school, I said my usual, "Be kind, be helpful, and do all of your work."
"And then I'll get Spongebob back?"
Blink. "Yes."
Today he did all his work, and he was line leader. (I don't know if they volunteer for that or if it is thrust upon them, though.)
So I guess that whole "consistent discipline" thing does work?
