ETA: I suppose I should preface by saying that the show is doing its usual thing of putting the music out a couple of days before the new episodes, and it's all over my Tumblr. So yes I listened!
Okay, so it's not the same sort of find the mute button now, dear god that was Glee's Hole cover or Brody and Rachel singing "Creep," but ...
"I Believe In a Thing Called Love", the Glee version, Adam Lambert and Chris Colfer, originally by the Darkness.
So ... they took a song that was cracktastic originally, and made it more ... mainstream. By using Kurt and a dude who dressed like a glittery Mr. Dark from Something Wicked This Way Comes and called himself Starchild.
How ... did that even ... ?
I mean, were the puppets and that whole "Love Child" Christmas number at the end of last year, like, use up the crack quota?
Plus, why wouldn't you have Kurt hit the original's high notes?
I had such high hopes.
That's okay, though. Santana's going to sing "Don't Rain On My Parade."
